Pam Peeke: We all have excuses and issues when it comes to taking care of our health. Just give me two minutes and I’ll help you figure out what to do with yours. So what’s the biggest right there, front and center issue you’ve got? Alicia: Weight. Pam Peeke: Wait? Alicia: Yes. Pam Peeke: What do you mean? Alicia: Weight problems. Pam Peeke: Oh, weight. Oh, not wait. So, what’s your weight problem? Alicia: I always want to lose that last ten 10 pounds but I can’t do it. Pam Peeke: You want to do a crush diet? Alicia: It’s all unworthy. They don’t work. Pam Peeke: They don’t work. But what about all thee people out there who wanted to do crush diet, what would you tell them? Alicia: Don’t do it. You’ll gain it back. Pam Peeke: You’ve been enlightened, the crush diet thing, forget it. If it’s sound too good to be true, it is. First of all, you never ever want to do that to your body. Your body requires time to make new changes and new habits. You can’t do that overnight. If you’ve been eating something funky at late at night time for years and years and years, you’re not changing that up overnight. Alicia: You know what? I don’t eat at night. That’s not my problem. It’s just I feel like if I’m not watching what I eat, I won’t eat all day. I drink coffee in the morning and I don’t have time to eat. Pam Peeke: That’s why it’s really important to just look at this in a way where you see your own living environment and you start doing things in small steps that you can just solidify practice. Solidify practice week after week after week so that you sustain it for life. All right? So, let’s start right on in. I like mind, mouth and muscles, my three M’s. Mind, why do you want to drop 10 in the first place? Alicia: I wanted to be able to wear my bathing suit next month and not have anything thing hanging over. Pam Peeke: So, you got the bathing suit issue? Alicia: Right. Pam Peeke: Right? So, wrap your head around the mind thing. Okay, with the bathing suit. Every single time you make a decision, you ask yourself, “Is this going to help me achieve my dream of looking better in my bathing suit?” Focus. Women especially have some issues with focus because how they roll up in the Nutrition, what are you over eating? Alicia: I know people say you have to eat six meals a day. Speedier metabolism doesn’t work for me because I don’t have ever time to go make six meals a day. Pam Peeke: Okay. You will never ever achieve your goal of removing 10 pounds of fat if you don’t find and make the time to be able to do this. Okay? So, you have to start early in the morning and have mini meals throughout the day. And they’re so simple, very, very little things. A couple of low fat string cheese. How easy is that? Alicia: Oh, it is. Pam Peeke; Have one and maybe a small apple as a snack, a yogurt, some cottage cheese. All you have to do is to chop it in to small mini meals, roughly every four hours. You won’t feel overly hungry. You’ll feel satisfied and you’ll be able to eat fewer calories, smarter calories and at the end of the day, guess what, shed those 10 pounds you want to do. In addition to which the physical activity, no time for that either huh? Alicia: Not with two jobs and three kids. No. Pam Peeke: Would you want to know something? Little bits and pieces here and there, even if you got up five minutes every hour and just run around a little bit. Five here, five there in eight hours, it’s 40 minutes. In your home, activities of daily living are gym-free. Just get up and move a little bit more. That’s all. If you combine that with that little mini meal thing roughly every three to four hours and then wrap your head around to focus, the bathing suit, mind, mouth and muscle.
