Speaker: What is the best diet for losing weight? Jeannette Bessinger: The truth in the matter is diets don't actually work. According to the American Obesity Association 95% of all diets are clinical failures over the long-term. In other words you might find a diet that will help you lose weight even a large amount of weight over a short amount of time, but over time within a year or two the lively hood is very high that you are going to gain that back. A better approach to losing weight is to make slow gradual changes in your lifestyle and in your diet improving the overall quality of what you eat and slowly reducing the quantity.
