Researchers found that walkers using pedometers boosted your calorie burn by at least 100 calories per hour. That’s pretty good. This how they did it. First, they set goals, those who aimed for 10,000 steps a day and added four times as many as walkers who didn’t have a specific number in mind. Second, they kept track of their daily stops, those who did, added 1.25 miles to their walks. And third, they remember to wear their pedometer at all walks. That makes it super easy to keep track.
