Hi, I am Peter Awando, from Water-Flow Gutter Solution, and today I am going to be showing you how to clean gutters. In this section, I am going to talk to you how to well and in a nice way maintain your gutters. Reason being, if you don't maintain your gutters you are going to run into problems of clogging again. The first thing you want to do is make sure you take off your gloves, because now you are free, you don't have to worry about your gloves or anything like that. In maintaining your gutters you want to do it at least twice a year, clean your gutters twice a year. The first time you want to have a cleaning done is in the spring, sometime around April or just before May. Reason being, you want to make sure that your gutters are clean, before the rainy season comes in and things like those. The second time, which is very, very important, very critical is in the falls. From late November to early December, you know that's when all the leafs fall and everything like that. So, you want to get your gutter ready just before the winter kicks in. And when you do that, when you clean your gutter at least twice, you are going to be very, very assure that no water or anything is going to get caught up in the gutters. Some people do it three times a year, reason being they have a lot of trees around them, it's just a good idea, you feel like you want do it just go ahead and do it. And one final thing which is an option that most people consider but not really all the time is putting screens on your gutters. A screen like this is very, very important to a well maintained gutter. So, what you should do, you check the screen yourself and just slide it underneath the shingle and it sits right on top of the gutters. The screen are very good, because all the leaves that fall on to the screen will just get blown off. And the only thing that goes in there is rain. So, what you are going to do with the screen like this, just put it right there, you get your hand drill and if you have a pair of screws, just check the screws. All you have to do is right at the edge, drill it in, it holds it firmly into place. And you want to put the screws just about 2 feet in length from one another, one right here, and one right there, that keeps it strong from any wind's or anything like that. And the only thing that goes in there is just the rain and all the leaves just get blown off. If you maintain your gutters very well you have a chance of increasing the lifetime of your gutters for about 10-15 years. So, it is very, very important for you to clean your gutters and maintain your gutters all year round. I am Peter Awando from Water-Flow Gutter Solutions and today, I have been showing you how to clean your gutters and also how to maintain your gutters. Thank you, and hopefully every thing helps you.
