Male Speaker: During the winter, we see a ton of flare-ups for patients who suffer from Sinusitis. Until now, there have only been a few solutions but a new surgical procedure called Balloon Sinuplasty may finally bring some relief for people who are sick and tired of feeling miserable. Female Speaker: I had acute sinus infections often on for 20 years. I have headache, I have chronic fatigue, in the winter months these symptoms get even worse, the air is drier, the sinuses can't drain, and there is more pain and it is much more miserable. I have tried all kids of holistic and traditional treatments, antibiotics are not working. So I am here to have a Balloon Sinuplasty. Male Speaker: We are going to address those blocked sinuses, we are going to use balloons that we are going to gently place into your nose. We are going to inflate those balloons where the sinuses are blocked. They are going to gently crack the sinus bone and allow the bone to heal with the sinuses open. Female Speaker: This surgery is very, very important to me. It will be like - Male Speaker: Karens had sinus problems as long as I have known her, especially in the winter time, but we are really here to have this procedure be successful. Male Speaker: That little balloon can generate enough pressure to move and break bone. Can I have the funnel back please? I will be watching on her face and looking for evidence of my light entering into the target sinus and we are actually exactly where we need to be which is in the sinus right above her eye. I am actually passing the balloon into my target sinus of interest, and let's go ahead and inflate the balloon now, put at 12 please. Now, the balloon is fully inflated, it took about 5 minutes to treat the first sinus and we will head over and do the other side. We will really get the maximum utilization of the balloon technology here. We have treated the sinus of interest. I think she is going to do really, really well.
