Health insurance does cover back pain to varying degrees. Meaning that physical therapy can authorize for a few visits, eight visit sometimes for some insurances sometimes six. The problem is this in that the length of time needed to restore the muscle strength sometimes is much more than what is covered by insurance. And this is why program like the spines that are helpful because we do extend them on a time periods. We know that patients need to established the strength and it does take time. We can’t do them explicit. You cant restore ten years of lack of activity with six visits of therapy.
