Hi! I am here to talk to you about baby sitter checklist. If you are a baby sitter, there are some very important things for you to know before the parents leave the house and you are left alone with the children. First and foremost, you need to know where the parents are going and how to reach them. Always make sure you have cell phone numbers and also if you can, the phone number of the restaurant or the party where they are going to be at. The second thing, you need to make sure you know where the nearest escape routes are from the rooms that you are going to be with the children. If you are in the sitting room, and you are watching TV and a fire breaks out from the kitchen which is right next to the sitting, you do not want to be going out of the kitchen door; you want to be going out the front door or whichever door is nearby that sitting room. The third thing you want to find, allergies to food or medicine. What if the child suffers from epilepsy. You need to know where any medications are kept and you need to know the dosages to give those children if anything happens to them. The fourth thing you should know, the doctor’s telephone number and where the closest hospital is. And if there is a close living relative like if a sister lives across the road, something like that. Those are the kind of things you want to find out. The last thing, not that important but something I like to find out. What can a child watch on TV? Because the last thing you want to do is expose them to a show on TV that they are not actually allowed to be watching and that is not PG rated for them. Baby sitting can be an extremely worth while thing to do. It is a really, really good little job to have. I thoroughly enjoy it!
