And he stop by our studio’s earlier to talk to me about how we can turn this flat back into the downward slope that we all can’t get enough off. Alright Steve, so what exactly is a diet plateau? Steven Bostic: The dreaded diet plateau is when you start losing weight and then you think you’re doing great and all the sudden your body just stops. You’re doing the same thing, you feel like you’re doing the same thing. The diet’s working and all the sudden it’s stop and it get really frustrating. Audra Lowe: It is just at a —what causes that? There so many people get frustrated. You’re working hard and then everything just seems like it’s just on pause. Steven Bostic: Well, what happens is, the body doesn’t get—its vitamins, minerals or nutrients, you have to get those. The diet plateau is most commonly seen with the diet pill. So you’re not eating as much but you’re also starving your body of what it need— Audra Lowe: Okay. Steven Bostic: Which is very important, you go to get vitamins, mineral and nutrients, and then your body tend not to plateau. Audra Lowe: So do you need to get more vitamins and nutrients than you were before or just continue to get them? Steven Bostic: You just have to make sure you get a most people now don’t get enough vitamins, minerals and nutrients. And the other thing Audra is you can exercise a little bit. Find something that you will like to do that suit your personality and do it— Audra Lowe: Yeah, do something fun right? Steven Bostic: It might be a jogging, it might—yeah, something that’s define fun— Audra Lowe: Right. Steven Bostic: Again that will kill a plateau. Audra Lowe: Okay. Steven Bostic: And another thing I think, honestly I think sometimes we lose track of our calories. Audra Lowe: Yeah. Steven Bostic: So we might, we think we’re kind of doing the same thing but our calories have crapped up and really that’s what’s causing the plateau. So that’s what we have to look out for. Audra Lowe: Because you got to take notes Steve. A lot of notes here, I like—as far as how many calories is it take to burn a pound. I never would have think about that. But you really have to because that’s where you end up hating the plateau right? Steven Bostic: Absolutely, 3500 calories will take to lose one pound so you have to burn more than 3500 calories in your body to lose one pound and that sounds a lot but its really not. Because your body’s going to burn somewhere between 1500 and 2000 just doing nothing. Audra Lowe: Okay, so right size smoothies, all right they have the right name, that’s for sure. Steven Bostic: You want everybody’s got a right size. We’re going to help them fined theirs. Audra Lowe: What makes them so affective though? Why is it different than one else’s out there on the market? Steven Bostic: Right size smoothies have a cutting edge appetite manage to call appamine in the smoothie. You drink the smoothie they do a great job managing your appetite. You burn more calories and you take in but you’re not hungry like you’re on a typical diet. Audra Lowe: Okay. Steven Bostic: That’s great isn't it? Audra Lowe: But do you feel full? Steven Bostic: You feel totally full. The edge is gone so you feel—and you’re able to loose weight quickly so you’ll know you can do it. That’s the important thing. Audra Lowe: Now, here’s a trick question for you Steve. You ready? Steven Bostic: Yes I’m ready. Audra Lowe: You get your vitamins and nutrients, everything that you need in that one smoothie because a lot of people claim that yes you will but in that one bottle, will you get them?
