The way to know that you have it is if you feel like your heart is kind of flopping around in your chest like a flopping fish or maybe have butterflies in your chest, or maybe it feels like a bag of wiggly worms. It could simply be as simple as just feeling tired or fatigued and knowing you just don’t feel right. If a woman feels those symptoms it’s important to talk with her doctor and if they are getting more severe to do something about them right away, maybe even go to the emergency room. But you know that you have atrial fibrillation if you just feel exhausted, tired, perhaps even dizzy, winded – just don’t feel right, you don’t feel like yourself. In my own case what happened to me was that I was simply sitting at my desk and all of a sudden my heart started racing, and then I could feel some skipped beats and I got very dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out.
