Young person who has problems with memory and thinking, Alzheimer’s is not as high on our list of possibilities unless they have a very strong family history of individuals who have been affected by Alzheimer’s disease potentially looking for a genetic contribution to the problem. But regardless of a person’s age, if they are concerned about their memory and thinking problems we would encourage them to follow up with their physician and get a careful evaluation of their problems so that we can identify what’s contributing to the difficulty.
