Are Fillers Safe? Howard Steinman: The current fillers are quite safe; the initial fillers are made up of collagen and some patients to lead up in allergic reaction to the collagens. Those types of fillers are no longer use, the primary side-effects with filler now are bruising, in extremely requites that you make you make it swelling or slight infection. In my practice I’ll be have to have an infection from filler use and then in some case if you can get a little nodules or nuts under the skin of the filler is in place in the correct location. Again Dermatologist is just really prime inventors of fillers. So, once you know the correct filler to recommend to your patient and where to place that filler in there skin the risk of those are not forming as very low.
