Hi, this is Doctor Debra from topworkoutsecrets.com. I'm just getting ready to make my morning smoothie to take with me to work this morning. So I thought I’d share this recipe with you. This one I call the apple pie smoothie. I'm going to start with the grapes because you want to start with the juiciest part of it first. So about a cup of grapes, it just depends how sweet you like it and how sweet your apples are. I'm using tart apples and Granny Smith’s. I'm going to put two Granny Smith’s in there. I hear the apple being cut and I hope I may get some of it. So I'm just leaving the core behind. I'm going to peel, these organic. They have been washed. All right, okay shoot that up. Again, any blender will do you just may have to do things in smaller batches. Good thing I've got a vita mix. You don’t have to spend a lot of money and get some fancy especially the start and figuring out whether you would like this or not. Put some water in. Start with about a half of a cup. Okay I've got some nice pretty kale. I think this is the—kale. There are different styles of kale. You can put those in. I'm going to add a handful of spinach and I think a little more water. All right, taste test. I'll get a spoon. I always like to see if it needs more fruit or if put too much greens in for me or if I can put more greens. A lot of times it seems I put in more greens. That’s good. I'm just going to add a little cinnamon or a lot of cinnamon. I always like cinnamon in my apple pies. Cinnamon is a nice spice. It helps with blood sugar regulation. I believe this is a good one. It's a little bit thickened now, just a little more water especially since I'm taking it with me. They tend to thicken as it sits. And you’ve got apples in there. The grapes with those nice antioxidants, the apples have some vitamin C to keep the doctor away. I've got some good fiber apple pectin. It's really good for healing the intestinal tract. And then your spinach with is full of minerals. It does have iron in it, not the level that they use to think as they was some mathematical error in their calculations. But it does have iron and manganese and magnesium and vitamin K and vitamin A. The dark greens are just a powerhouse of amino acids and minerals and they’re just in a form that your body can readily absorb and use. So, green smoothies are just the ultimate thing because it's easy. The biggest thing is to make you still chew not just slurp it down and it's easy to do that. But then it's easier on your digestion to sip it or chew it. I'm not putting it in a pretty glass today because going to my to-go cup. I'm going to have to drink some so I can put more in. It's a really good way to start your day. Anyway, give this one a try the apple pie green smoothie and let me know what you think. The recipe should be in the box next year. Give it a try. Have a great day. This is Doctor Debra from topworkoutsecrets.com. I hope that you like this smoothie.
