A Guide to Macrobiotics Hi! My name is Jonas Ferr, I am Nick and Wellness consultant, performer, and life long macrobiotic. I am just going to speak on my experience with macrobiotics and a brief introduction and I think what I really to touch on this macrobiotics today and guess what I call that the gen-ex macro movements looks like. Macrobiotics first showed up in the United States about 34 years ago as a cancer diet was recently found in the Japanese mal prevention. And I am a superventiomist for the plan of cure obviously. What sources on which may cause you introduce was a concept of relating to food as an energy in the different way then the people are relating to the food. So what happen to macrobiotic over the last 30 years really is that people have taken in on a more as lifestyle and rather than such an extreme diet where people would not cut out entire food groups or do extreme diets like brown rice for 10 days at that time or something like that. People have taken that product back on macrobiotics on his a lifestyle where we just relate to food as an energy. So I grow up eating organic food, I been rubbing allow on my burn since I long before it was cool. And basically we eat we encourage seasonal organic local produce where possible but what is interesting about them was a macro movement and I guess from generation of people who are practicing lifestyle is that were presented with thousand of times more option than we ever seen before. We have in a place like whole foods that are importing organic foods from all the way across the ocean. Apples from Australia, and sugar fish with a different challenge and macrobiotic is literally meaning the big life where face with the a new challenges not as much of choosing seasonal organic because now we control of our macro environments so much more but with the challenge of making choices that affect the planet in our bodies in equally good ways.
