Yes, my grandfather, I can remember as a kid, we used to call him pig like grandpa because he had diabetes and he had his leg removed above his knee and he had diabetes. It kind of to me skip the generation because my mother and her siblings didn’t seem to have diabetes but then the next generation, my sister, my brother and myself, all have had diabetes and I know of some cousins that had it too of that generation. So, I just know that’s in our family and I warn my children about it and tell him to get tested and pay attention. And maybe it will skip a generation and I won’t have to worry about my children but grandchildren or something else you know. So you worry about them all the time but I think everything that is being discussed on television medical groups, they’re making diabetes more people friendly so to speak. I don’t think it’s such a scary thing anymore. True, there is more diabetics now than ever was but again that’s our nutrition and if you’re not knowledgeable about it, you can just ruin yourself.
