The 64-slice CT coronary angiogram is similar to other CAT scans that a patient may have had of their chest, of their abdomen. It involves a little needle with an IV of injection of iodine which is an x-ray material that helps us light up the blood vessels of the heart, and we’re able to see pretty clearly the heart blood vessels and how blocked they are and if they need further treatment.
