Dr. David Katz: Feet, forks and figures are the master lovers of medical destiny. We eat well we're active and we don't smoke. It dramatically reduces the risk of all chronic disease and of dying prematurely from any cause. In fact, where reduces it by as much as 80%. I want those benefits in my own life. So every day, I work-out; I have physical activity room in my house and exercise room. I setup it up so there would be no excuse to not to use it. Now, when I can exercise outdoors because the weather in my -- that's great. I eat well everyday whole grains, fruits, vegetables, fish, green meats, a glass of wine and dark chocolate and being healthy is not always that unpleasant and I recommend these things, I practice these things. Actually, we have research evidence to show that we as physicians are much more effective in getting our patients to live well when we do it ourselves. The other critical thing in my case and I think this is important for everybody, I have help. My wife is right there by my side, I have five kids and we've raised our children to live a healthy lifestyle, and immunity there with strengths. So, I don't have to fight with anybody to live this way. My family supports if they engaged in it and my wife makes eating well easy because she is a great cook and where we wind-up landing and you can too is a place where we love the food we eat, but it loves a -- because it takes care of our health. And you really shouldn't have to make a choice between the two. So, living well can be part of your daily routine just as it's a part of mind.
