Outdoor Arm Toning Workout Push-ups or hands down are one of the best body toners. The basic move works your arms, shoulders, chests and abs. to master a full push-up, begin by standing with your hands against the wall or a tree. Practice push-ups, bending your elbows out to your sides until you can do about 15 to 20 of this comfortably. Then you're going to move you’re hands down a little bit to a table top counter top or desk. Walk your feet out, so your body is a nice straight line from head to heels. Bend your elbows out to the side and lower your chests. When you can do 15 to 20 of those, bring your hands to something lower like a chair or the steps on a staircase. And again, practice those. Some of these levels you might be able to master in just a few days. Others may take a couple of weeks. But before you know it, you’ll be down on the floor doing full push-ups.
