Welcome back. We’re ready for our next stretching exercise and this one is for your hips. Everyone is walking around with very tight hips and I found a very simple exercise to stretch the hips. What I want you to do is you’re sitting up straight like Cathy, and I want you to take your hands, place them on your hamstrings which is the back of the thigh near the knee and simply pull up towards you. You’re just pulling up so you’ll feel a stretch in the hip area. Now, you don’t need to stretch or pull up as high as Cathy is. So, if you can only come halfway to that, that’s fine. When you feel the stretch, I want you to hold it for 30 seconds and just gently come down. And then, we’ll do the other side. She pulls straight up. Notice that her postures nice and straight. She is breathing naturally. You’re going to hold the stretch for 30 seconds on both sides. And again, if you’re using an office chair and you’ve got wheels on the chair, just make sure the wheels are locked s that you’re not moving around. You’ll find this to be a very, very relaxing exercise. It’s the hip stretch.
