Our next exercise will be for the triceps. It’s a stretching exercise. Again, the triceps is the back of the arm. Very simple exercise. Your feet or shoulder-width apart. Your arm goes straight up on the side of your head. All I want you to do is bend at the elbow and so that the elbow is pointing straight up. Take the opposing hand, place it on top of the elbow, push down until you feel a gentle stretch in the back of the arm, the triceps. You’ll really feel this. It’s a fantastic exercise. Don’t push too hard. I don’t want any excessive force on the stretch. It should be very gentle. You will feel a stretch right through here. Now, let’s show it from the reverse. Cathy, I want you to turn around, arms straight up, elbow bends, opposite arm, stretching all through here. And we’re going to be holding this stretch for 30 seconds. There is also another way to do this with a towel in case you’re having trouble with stability with your shoulder, and I want to show you that one next. Now, we’re going use a towel for those of you who have any kind of instability of the shoulder. Sometimes, it is difficult to pull over and I always want to make sure your body is nice and straight. So, just take a towel with the lowered arm and gently pull so you’ll feel the stretch of the triceps. And still, you’ll hold for 30seconds. It makes things a lot easier.
