Definition

Yellow eyes refers to the condition of the whites of the eyes having a yellowish color.

Synopsis

Yellow eyes is a manifestation of jaundice which is caused by excess bilirubin in the blood stream. Bilirubin is a byproduct of red blood cells, normally broken down in the liver when they become a waste products. Though not dangerous in and of itself, yellow eyes can be a sign of underlying disease.
