Medical Specialist: Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine

Undersea and hyperbaric medicine is a subspecialty of emergency medicine. After completion of medical school, a doctor pursues three additional years of training in an emergency-medicine residency focusing on the care and treatment of people with acute, life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
