Medical Specialist: Pediatric Pathology

Pathologists are doctors who complete a three- to four-year residency-training program in pathology. The pathologist uses information derived from the laboratory testing of body fluids and tissue samples to aid in the diagnosis, management of treatment and prognosis of disease. The pediatric pathologist completes an additional one-year fellowship training in fetal development, infant and childhood diseases.
