Medical Specialist: Pediatric Dermatology

The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) offers certification in Pediatric Dermatology as a subspecialty of Pediatrics. Pediatric dermatology specialists diagnose and provide treatment of skin conditions of children and teens. After completing medical school training, the physician receives at least one year of training in a pediatric residency, then two years of dermatology training, followed by an additional one to three years of training in a pediatric dermatology fellowship.
