Health Tip: Evaluating Signs of Kidney Stones

(HealthDay News) -- Kidney stones occur when there's too much of certain substances in the urine, which crystallize and form stones.

The U.S. National Library of Medicine offers this list of symptoms that could indicate kidney stones:

• Pain in the abdomen or side of the back, which may travel to the groin or testicles.
• Pain that appears suddenly, then suddenly disappears.
• Changes in color of the urine, or the presence of blood in the urine.
• Chills and fever.
• Nausea and vomiting.
