WATCH YOUR SUGAR INTAKE

From frosted cereals to sweetened pastries, it’s easy to overload on sugar in the morning. But sugary foods and beverages will not satisfy your appetite, leaving you hungry again before you know it.

Opt for breakfast foods that have protein, healthy fats, and fiber. A slice of whole-grain bread with peanut butter and banana is a better breakfast option than a glass of fruit juice with a plain bagel or doughnut.

Also, be aware of how much fruit you consume. Fruit may be full of fiber, vitamins, and minerals, but too much can have you digesting a lot of sugar too. Eat smaller portions, in moderation, to avoid an overload.
