From cleansing to juicing, there are many trendy, yet risky, health fads that people often fall for. Some of these trends can be very unhealthy and, when done excessively, don’t provide your body with the nutritional fuel it needs. 

Among the health fads that may be putting people’s health at stake are detoxes and liquid diets or cleanses. Many of the dietary supplements that are marketed to “cleanse” and “detox” may contain a number of ingredients that lack research regarding their efficacy and safety. Juice cleanses can also leave you malnourished: Cutting your calories too low will deprive your body of the necessary fuel it needs to function properly.  

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. Eating a breakfast rich in protein, healthy fat, and fiber is optimal for physical and mental health.
