The DiabetesMine™ D-Data ExChange is a gathering of key innovators creating applications and platforms that leverage diabetes data to produce healthier outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, increase transparency to policy decision-makers and care teams, and improve prospects for patient engagement.
It was created as an offshoot of our annual DiabetesMine Innovation Summit in 2013, and in response to a groundswell of interest, this catalyst for the #WeAreNotWaiting movement has now become a bi-annual happening.
The most recent DiabetesMine D-Data ExChange took place on Oct. 27, 2016, at UCSF’s Mission Bay biotech campus, in association with our annual Innovation Summit happening there. This incredible 7th gathering of leading diabetes data and device experts, health data innovators, patient activists and regulatory was our first full-day tech forum.
It featured hands-on data and UX design workshops, updates from the DIY #WeAreNotWaiting community and from FDA on their evolving approach to Artificial Pancreas solutions, demos by a host of new app developers, and more.
Prior to that, our June 2016 event in New Orleans of Medicine brought together a fantastic group of over 90 influencers in the #DData world. Read about Mark Wilson’s epic diabetes car analogy, and the many Artificial Pancreas updates here.
The DiabetesMine D-Data ExChange events are supported by our valued industry sponsors, and content is created with the help of our friends at Tidepool and an Advisory Committee made up of entrepreneurs and representatives from Glooko, Livongo, One Drop, Timesulin and Johnson & Johnson Diabetes.
