Q: How will healthcare reform be paid for?
The healthcare reform law establishes five new taxes and fees. Insurance companies pass these costs on to consumers in their health insurance premiums. In addition, the law puts in place a number of other taxes, including a tax on tanning salons and a tax on medical devices in order to create new revenue to cover ACA-related costs.
