Moderate back pain usually ends
on its own, but sometimes the pain has a deeper cause that should be treated
medically. Here are some signs that it is time to see your doctor.
- Numbness or
tingling, particularly in your leg, foot, or groin area
- Pain in your
leg below your knee
- Nausea,
vomiting, or abdominal pain
- Fever,
weakness, and sweating
- Intense pain
that prevents you from moving
- Pain showing
no improvement in two or three weeks
- Pain caused
by a fall or traumatic injury
- Loss of
control over bowel movements or difficulty urinating
- Unintentional weight loss
