One bite of these brownies will have you asking, “These are really dairy-free?” Not only that, these richly dense and chocolaty treats are nut, gluten and egg free— so everyone can enjoy them! 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 very ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup smooth applesauce
  • 1¼ cups sorghum flour
  • 1 cup Dutch processed cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a 13- x 9-inch baking pan with vegetable cooking spray; set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together first four ingredients. 

In a separate bowl combine bananas, applesauce and vanilla, and add to dry ingredients along with chocolate chips and stir to combine. Evenly spread mixture into prepared pan.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow brownies to cool to room temperature before cutting into 24 bars.
