Happy New Year From Teen Health 411

TEXT SIZE: A A A

Did you make a wish or declare a resolution for 2010 on the blue moon last night? As you may or may not know, the term "blue moon" refers to the second full moon in a calendar month, which usually happens every 2.5 years, but there has not been a blue moon on New Years Eve since 1990.

So it was a special moon and I hope 2010 is a wonderful year for each of you! I know it is tradition to make a New Years Resolution, but I have always believed that how you spend New Years Eve is what matters - and reflects the coming year. In that spirit, I always have my errands done, the house clean, the laundry done, the car maintained, the cleaning picked up, my desk and office clean, the bills paid, the dog clean, and my loved ones close - which is how I want the year to be - calm and peaceful!

No matter which traditions (and superstitions) you cherish - I hope the coming year brings joy and happiness!
