With all of the information available on the web, it can be overwhelming trying to sort through it all. Women’s health is a hot topic on the Internet with websites covering virtually every symptom and condition you can imagine.  Some are fluffy, some are substantive, and others are just plain useless.

But, I’ve managed to run across a few that think do an excellent job providing quality, up-to-date, and relevant information for women, and the issues that matter to us.  Bookmark these sites and take my word for it, they are worth your time to check out!

Menopause Chit-Chat  is a ‘full-service stop” as I like to call it.  Founded by Holly Osterman, Menopause Chit-Chat has a little bit of everything: up-to-date articles, expert guest bloggers, and a very active community forum, where you can hang around and “chit-chat” with other ladies going through perimenopause.  The conversations are always insightful, informative, and lively.  You can expect to receive plenty of great advice and resources to help you through the turbulent changes of perimenopause.

Women to Women was originally founded by Dr. Christiane Northrup.  Though Dr. Northrup is no longer affiliated with Women to Women, the site continues to operate on the holistic principles for women’s health that Dr. Northrup continues to advocate. The Women to Women website also supports the clinic, located in Maine, run by Marcelle Pick, OB/GYN NP, and Dixie J. Mills, MD.  The site provides articles, current information and research, and plenty of excellent resources.  There are assessment tests available on the site which can help you, with the guidance of the knowledgeable staff, design and personalize a program for your health needs.

Menopause the Blog  is one of the best women’s health blogs on the web in my view, and is operated by Healthline’s own, Wendy Hoffman.  Menopause the Blog was also named one of Healthline’s 11 Best Menopause Blogs for 2012, and rightly so! Wendy promises timely, unbiased information on her blog, and she definitely delivers.

Menopause Makeover  is a site owned and operated by the lovely Staness Jonekos, a real mover and shaker in women’s health.  Staness’ book, The Menopause Makeover, co-authored with Dr. Wendy Klein, is also an excellent resource for women trying to get through menopause with their sanity intact.  Her site, like Wendy’s and Holly’s, is full of excellent tips, advice, articles, and provides a supportive community atmosphere for women going through menopause.

Healthy Women  is at the top of my list of favorite women’s health websites.  It covers women’s health issues from A to Z, and provides plenty of expert medical information from physicians and healthcare providers.  The magazine style of the site makes it interesting to navigate, and you can find health bloggers, current publications, and plenty of breaking health news.

The Perimenopause Blog is rapidly becoming one of the most popular women’s health blogs on the web, is also featured here at Healthline as one of the top menopause health blogs on the web as well!  The Perimenopause Blog is owned and operated by yours truly.  Yes, it’s a shameless plug at self-promotion, but I can assure you, if you haven’t checked out The Perimenopause Blog, you won’t be disappointed.  You will find plenty of up-to-date articles, and health information on perimenopause.  I even have a section devoted to the men in your life. Hop over and check it out, and don’t forget to sign up for the monthly newsletter!
