Dr. Val’s New Blog Teaches You All About Eye Health – With Podcasts!
I’ve been blogging for over seven years on various websites—which means I’ve probably written the equivalent of several books about health and medicine! But in all those years of writing, I’ve found that there is a surprising lack of medical blogging about one particular body part: the eyes. Today I’m starting a new blog here on Healthline to try to rectify that situation. Our eyes are incredibly important to our quality of life, and yet most of us mistakenly believe that if we see well, we can safely ignore those little globes. I myself used to believe tha,t until a vision-threatening condition was unexpectedly discovered during a routine eye exam. Because of one optometrist’s astute observation, I was able to track and avoid future vision loss. So for all of you out there who appreciate your eyes and want to keep them in tip top shape, welcome to the new Healthy Vision blog!
In addition to my upcoming blog posts about all things visual, I will be offering expert interviews in podcast format for those who (ironically) would like to listen rather than read about their eyes. Ahem. But if you’ve been spending too much time staring at the computer screen lately, then give your peepers a rest and tune in to the Healthy Vision with Dr. Val Jones™ show here at Blog Talk Radio.
I am very grateful to Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. who has provided support for the Healthy Vision show. Without their commitment to health education, my podcasts would not be possible.
I look forward to hearing from you in the comments section of the blog, and please stay tuned for more exciting eye news and expert interviews. For example, do you know when an eye injury requires medical attention? Find out in my next blog post.
Disclosure: Dr. Val Jones is a paid consultant for VISTAKON® Division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc.
