To get a good dose of wheatgrass, you can buy it as powder, liquid, or tablet form.
It may not be a regular part of your
routine, but maybe after you read this post, you’ll be motivated to try the
superfood of this week: wheatgrass!
As a natural food grown from a wheat plant, wheatgrass provides a powerhouse of nutrients in a small dose.
Wheatgrass has been found to be high in:
- iron
- calcium
- magnesium
- amino acids
- vitamin A, C and E
- chlorophyll
- antioxidants
Due to its high levels of nutrients and antioxidants, some research has found that wheatgrass benefits the body by helping to improve cholesterol levels and reducing oxidative stress. Many claim wheatgrass as a cure-all for diseases, but like all superfoods, it’s great for you in moderation and just as good as other veggies!
To get a good dose of wheatgrass, you can buy it as powder, liquid, or tablet form. My favorite way is in powder form that I can add to my smoothies! You can easily find it at local health food stores. Try adding a packet of wheatgrass to your favorite smoothie combo.
When I’m in the mood for a liquid version, I head to the juice bar for a fresh dose of nutrients. Adds a boost to my day!
To spice up your normal routine, try something new and fun for a healthy twist. Try wheat grass in smoothies or as is for a nutrient-rich punch to your day!
