On The Road Again
Now that the holiday break has passed, many vacation traveler's are home and business travelers are out in full force again. I travel about every other month for business, but some people live on planes and hotel rooms. If you missed it, be sure to read my post last week about airport food.
I work with a lot of business people who travel a good deal. I always hear about what a struggle it is to stay on track. They are either tired and use food as a stress relief/comfort on the road, or they are in business dinners with 5 courses and 5 times as many calories as they need. And exercise...forget about it!
Lose the excuses and pick up a copy of Dr. Jo's How to Stay Healthy and Fit on the Road. Dr. Jo is a Registered Dietitian who is also a professional speaker and wrote this book on her own experience of traveling a lot and needing to maintain a healthy weight, diet, and exercise routine.
She has great tips on not only how to pack your own snacks and stay fit on the road, but also on a variety of other topics. She addresses common traveler's ailments like ear aches, swollen ankles, and altitude sickness along with how to get a good night's sleep on the road. She has a great exercise plan called the "Hotel Room Workout."
