As a dietitian sometimes I feel like I should (or people expect me to) eat "perfectly" all of the time. There really is no such thing as a perfect eater, and if there were I am far from it. I have too much of a sweet tooth for that. I think I am too hard on myself with this perfect thing anyway. Every once in a while I think, "We need to eat healthier" in my house. But then someone else cooks for me and I realize that I cook pretty darn healthy, especially compared to most people.
I had a baby 4 months ago and my husband just had surgery last week so we have had numerous people bringing food over. Bringing dinner over is quite helpful in this circumstances, and it is always interesting and fun to see what people will bring. Two times recently we got food from friends that was soooo tasty yet so greasy. We all know that fat tastes good, but it is really easy to reduce the fat in recipes and still have a really yummy end product.
