Foodily App

TEXT SIZE: A A A

Foodily AppAt the end of a long work day, do you ever struggle to come up with ideas for dinner? Believe me, I have been there numerous times, especially if it is one of those days where nothing sounds good. Well, have I got a solution for you!

A Fun Food App to Share Recipes

I was recently introduced to Foodily, a free Facebook or smartphone app that you can sign up for on their website www.foodily.com. Foodily is comprised of over 200,000 of the best recipes on the Web. It lets you share recipes with friends, save recipes friends represent, and even explore new recipes!

Have a food intolerance or allergy?

Not to worry! This app lets you search for recipes for people with specific dietary needs. For example, a diabetic can search for “no sugar.” Celiac patients can search for “no gluten.” Lactose intolerant patients can search for “no dairy.” People with nut or wheat allergies can search for “no nuts” and “no wheat.” This is such an ideal site for those with specific needs and those looking for specific items.

Recipe Results

Foodily even gives you multiple recipes of the same item. Let’s say you need a dessert for your children’s Thanksgiving party at school. You see turkey-shaped cookies pop up on your news feed. Once you click on it, it will give you multiple recipes that have different ways to decorate cookies to look like turkeys.

Next time you get stuck in a cooking rut, log on to foodily for some great ideas. Even if you can’t think of something to search, they have a top recipe searches page on their blog
