Wendy Hoffman
Wendy Hoffman writes about women’s health in midlife, at Menopause the Blog, a website she started in 2007 when she began experiencing the common symptoms of the menopausal transition. Her quest to discover the facts about menopause, and hopefully find remedies, led her to invaluable informational resources that she wanted to share with other women who were also self-educating themselves.
Since then, she has expanded her fact-finding by attending leading medical conferences, and talking directly with the experts—from book authors and practitioners of complementary medicine to leading university researchers and physicians.
As a result, Menopause The Blog has become a go-to resource by women, from all over the world, looking for reliable information and practical advice on a wide range of menopause-related health concerns including; heart and bone health, weight management, hormone therapy, and how natural and complementary medicine can promote healthy aging. She addresses many of these issues head-on at Healthline.com.
Wendy’s background includes several years as a production associate and news writer at ABC News; a press aide to a U.S. Senator; and a two-decade career in public relations, working at global agencies and corporations, and as an independent consultant.
A native New Yorker, she and her husband live in the San Francisco Bay area.
