After surviving a rare coronary artery dissection and massive heart attack while nine months pregnant, Nefertari has devoted her life to uplifting other heart patients and promoting heart health awareness.
Nefertari is an active member of many heart support groups, including the American Heart Association (AHA), where she is an ambassador for their Go Red for Women campaign. Her story has been featured on several websites and publications including: heartsofjersey.org (Dec. 2011/Jan 2012 issue), Heart Insight magazine (May 2012 issue) Willingboro News Monthly Column, and Bella magazine (April 2012 issue). She’s also had several speaking engagements telling her story, which has inspired many.
Although Nefertari suffers congestive heart failure with an ejection fraction of 35 percent, she doesn't allow it to dim her inner light. A mother of five, jewelry designer, columnist, former model, Miss Congeniality, and make-up artist, Nefertari finds joy in sharing her story and hopes to inspire others to "listen to their hearts." She has plans to release her book in the fall of 2012.
