What is this medicine?BASILIXIMAB (ba sil IK si mab) suppresses the immune system. It is used to prevent organ rejection after a transplant.

- an unusual or allergic reaction to basiliximab, mouse proteins, mannitol, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- pregnant or trying to get pregnant

- allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
- breathing problems
- fever, chills, or other signs of infection
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
- difficulty sleeping
- nausea, vomiting
- pain at site where injected
- stomach upset
Where should I keep my medicine?This drug is given in a hospital or clinic and will not be stored at home.
