Core Curriculum

Core Curriculum

The course of study taken by all students in a specific academic group.

This term describes, in a broad example, those courses taken by all students in a particular high school, or, more narrowly, those courses taken by all students pursuing a clerical course of study. Most commonly, the term "core curriculum" is used to describe the courses that form the common denominator for a particular student body.
