terbutaline May Interact with Other Medications
Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications:\n-cocaine\n-MAOIs like Carbex, Eldepryl, Marplan, Nardil, and Parnate\n-probucol\n-procarbazine\n\nThis medicine may also interact with the following medications:\n-heart medicines\n-medicines for colds or breathing difficulties\n-medicines for high blood pressure\n-some medicines for mental depression or sleep\n-stimulants
How to Use terbutaline
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Do not stop taking except on your doctor's advice.\n\nTalk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.
They need to know if you have any of the following conditions:\n-diabetes\n-heart disease\n-high blood pressure\n-irregular heartbeat\n-seizures\n-an unusual or allergic reaction to terbutaline, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives\n-pregnant or trying to get pregnant\n-breast-feeding
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
Visit your doctor or health care professional for regular check ups. Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve. Do not take extra doses. If your asthma or bronchitis gets worse while you are using this medicine, call your doctor right away.\n\nYour mouth may get dry. Chewing sugarless gum or sucking hard candy, and drinking plenty of water may help. Contact your doctor if the problem does not go away or is severe.
Keep out of the reach of children.\n\nStore at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Protect from light. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
