Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:\n-allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue\n-breathing difficulties\n-chest pain or palpitations\n-dizziness or fainting\n-swelling of the legs or ankles\n-seizures\n-unusually weak or tired\n\nSide effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):\n-difficulty sleeping\n-dizziness\n-dry mouth\n-headache\n-loss of appetite\n-nausea, vomiting\n-stomach pain

How to Use rimantadine
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take all of your medicine as directed even if you think your are better. Do not skip doses or stop your medicine early.\n\nTalk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for children as young as 1 year old for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:\n-kidney disease\n-liver disease\n-seizures\n-taken or scheduled to take intranasal flu vaccine within 2 weeks\n-an unusual or allergic reaction to rimantadine, amantadine, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives\n-pregnant or trying to get pregnant\n-breast-feeding
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
Tell your doctor or healthcare professional if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.\n\nYou may get drowsy or dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs mental alertness until you know how this medicine affects you. Do not stand or sit up quickly, especially if you are an older patient. This reduces the risk of dizzy or fainting spells.
Keep out of the reach of children.\n\nStore at room temperature between 15 degrees and 30 degrees C (59 degrees and 86 degrees F). Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
