Although an interaction is possible, these drugs may be used together. Anti-retroviral Protease Inhibitors (examples: Agenerase, Crixivan, Kaletra, Viracept, Norvir, Fortovase, Invirase) may increase Cyclosporine blood levels leading to side effects. Your prescriber may need to do blood tests to make sure you have the proper amount of Cyclosporine in your blood, and to monitor your liver and kidney function. Report any unusual or worsening side effects, like abdominal pain, confusion, decreased urination, dizziness, increased blood pressure, nausea-vomiting, tremor, seizures, yellowing of skin or eyes, weakness, or other problems to your prescriber.

Severe severe interaction
amprenavir+alfuzosin
show details Show details
Although an interaction is possible, under most circumstances these drugs may be used together. Anti-retroviral protease inhibitors (drugs for treating HIV infection, examples: Agenerase, Crixivan, Fortovase, Invirase, Kaletra, Norvir, and Viracept) can increase blood concentrations of Alfuzosin. Too much Alfuzosin in the blood can lower the blood pressure. If the blood pressure drops too low while taking these medications, you may become dizzy or feel faint. To limit this interaction, do not stand or sit up too quickly. However, it is recommended that you avoid taking Alfuzosin if you are receiving Ritonavir (Norvir, Kaletra) therapy, as the interaction between Ritonavir and Alfuzosin might be more serious than with other drugs for HIV infection. Ask your prescriber about other treatment options for enlarged prostate if you are taking Ritonavir.
