Using some of these drugs along with alcohol can lead to serious side effects. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Do not drive or operate machinery if you are drinking alcohol-containing beverages. If you notice slurred speech, confusion, severe weakness, or difficulty breathing, contact your health care provider immediately.

Avoid the combined use of these drugs whenever possible. Side effects from Serotonin-Receptor Agonists ("Triptans" used for migraine like Amerge, Axert, Frova, Imitrex, Maxalt, Relpax and Zomig) may get worse if you take Sibutramine and vice-versa. Taking these two drugs together could potentially lead to chest pain, confusion, loss of coordination, restlessness, sweating, tremor, vomiting, or other side effects. Report these or other unusual side effects to your health care provider immediately should they occur.

Take Risedronate with water only, on an empty stomach. Taking this drug with food may change how well the drug works for you. It is recommended to take risedronate at least 30 minutes before any other beverage, food or other medication for the day. Avoid laying down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medicine. To avoid irritation to the esophagus (tube connecting mouth to the stomach), this medicine must be taken as directed.

When Alcohol is taken by patients receiving Metronidazole, an extremely unpleasant reaction can occur. This reaction includes flushing, throbbing headache, nausea, vomiting, sweating, thirst, and other effects that may last from 30 minutes to several hours. You should not drink alcoholic beverages or use medicines that contain a large amount of alcohol while taking Metronidazole. Also continue to avoid Alcohol for about 2-3 days after stopping Metronidazole. Interactions with Metronidazole vaginal or topical skin products are not likely.

Most forms of metronidazole may be taken without regard to meals or food. However, extended-release metronidazole tablets, like Flagyl ER, should be taken on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Do not use alcoholic beverages (or take alcohol-containing medicines) while taking or within 2-3 days after stopping Metronidazole to limit the possibility of side effects. When Alcohol is taken by patients receiving Metronidazole, an extremely unpleasant reaction can occur. The response to the Vaccine may be decreased and side effects to the Vaccine, including infection, may be increased. Taking a high amount of Caffeine can increase the risk of nausea, nervousness, palpitations, problems with sleep, rapid heartbeat, tremor, or other side effects.

Side effects from Sibutramine may get worse if you take grapefruit juice. Common side effects of Sibutramine include constipation, difficulty sleeping or restlessness, dry mouth, headache, and loss of appetite. Report these effects if they are troublesome. Do not significantly alter your intake of grapefruit juice or grapefruit while taking Sibutramine. Sibutramine does not interact with other foods.
