Examples of Sympathomimetics include stimulants like Amphetamine, Adderall, Dexedrine, Ephedrine, Fastin, and Tenuate; some cough and cold products containing Pseudoephedrine (example Sudafed), Phenylephrine, or Phenylpropanolamine (PPA); and also herbal weight loss products containing ephedra or Ma huang. Taking the listed drugs with Albuterol can increase the risk of a fast heart rate, nervousness, palpitations, problems with sleep, or other side effects.

Sargramostim, GM-CSF, is often used following Antineoplastic Agents (Chemotherapy, drugs used to treat cancer and other conditions); however, Sargramostim, GM-CSF, should not be used within 24 hours of receiving chemotherapy. If given during chemotherapy, Sargramostim may increase the duration and severity the effects of Chemotherapy on the bone marrow. Usually, Sargramostim is stopped at least 2 days before starting your next cycle of Chemotherapy.

Taking these beverages along with Procarbazine might increase the risk of serious high blood pressure, confusion, restlessness, or other side effects.

Do not take acetaminophen routinely while you are receiving Imatinib, STI-517 treatment. Taking Acetaminophen with Imatinib, STI-517 may increase the risk of serious liver-related side effects. Many products contain Acetaminophen; read labels closely before taking any medicine with Imatinib. If the use of these drugs together is approved by your health care professional, do not exceed 4 g acetaminophen/day in adults or 75 mg/kg/day of acetaminophen in children.

Granisetron and Beta-agonists may be prescribed together under the supervision of your health care provider. Examples of Beta-agonists include: Advair, Combivent, Foradil, Proventil, Serevent, and Ventolin. Although rare, Granisetron can increase the risk of a dangerous change in heartbeat or heart rhythm. Very rarely, Beta-agonists have also caused changes in heart rate or rhythm. Additional risk factors for this rare interaction include females, patients with certain pre-existing heart conditions (such as prior heart attack, angina, heart failure, heart rhythm disturbances), patients receiving certain Diuretics (water pills such as Hydrochlorothiazide) which can decrease the level of potassium in the blood, patients with a low potassium level in the blood due to excessive vomiting or diarrhea, or patients with congenital Long QT syndrome (a rare genetic syndrome). Seek medical attention immediately if you notice side effects like chest pain, dizziness, fainting or falling spells, palpitations, shortness of breath, or a change in your heart beat (such as a fast or irregular heart beat) while taking these drugs together.
