Tobacco smoke may decrease the effectiveness of Olanzapine by increasing the elimination of Olanzapine from the body. If you smoke tobacco, notify your prescriber if you experience changes in mood (like agitation or hearing or seeing things that are not really there) that may indicate that Olanzapine is not working as well for you. If you suddenly stop smoking tobacco, this may increase the actions of Olanzapine; notify your prescriber if you notice increased drowsiness, dizziness or other unusual side effects.
