Inform your health care provider you are taking a Corticosteroid before receiving any Vaccine. In some cases, Vaccines should not be given to persons taking a Corticosteroid for the treatment of a chronic inflammatory health condition like asthma or arthritis. Treatment with Vaccines may result in infection or other side effects in patients receiving Corticosteroids, especially long-term or high dose therapy. Discuss Vaccination options with your health care provider. Also, avoid contact with anyone who has recently received the oral poliovirus vaccine. Topical Corticosteroid products should not interact with Vaccines.

Inform your health care provider you are taking Certolizumab pegol before you receive any Vaccine. Certolizumab may decrease the actions of Vaccines. If you are taking Certolizumab, you should not receive certain types of vaccines known as "live virus vaccines" (examples: Biavax II, Orimune, Varivax). Discuss Vaccination options with your health care provider. Also, avoid contact with anyone who has recently received the oral poliovirus vaccine. If you experience fever, chills, or other symptoms of illness, contact your prescriber immediately.

Nevirapine may decrease the actions of Lidocaine injections. Your prescriber may need to do blood tests or check your heart rhythm (using an EKG) to make sure you are receiving the correct amount of Lidocaine. Contact your prescriber immediately if may experience chest pain, dizziness, fainting or falling spells, palpitations, shortness of breath, or a change in your usual heart beat (fast, slow, or irregular heart beat). Nevirapine should not interact with skin or topical products containing Lidocaine.

Lidocaine injection is only used in a hospital or clinic during surgery or procedures to reduce feelings of pain (numb) the area being treated or to treat serious irregular heart rhythms. If you are taking Anti-Retroviral Protease Inhibitors (medicines to treat HIV infection and AIDS) and receive Lidocaine, you may be at increased risk of developing a change in heartbeat (palpitations) or very low blood pressure during the procedure. Talk to your health care provider before any surgeries or procedures and inform them that you have been taking Protease Inhibitors. Protease Inhibitors should not interact with skin or topical products containing Lidocaine.

Grapefruit juice

In theory, side effects from Amprenavir such as diarrhea, headache, or rash might get worse if you drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruits, but significant interactions have not been reported. Do not greatly alter your normal grapefruit and grapefruit juice intake while taking Amprenavir.

High Fat Foods

In general, it is okay to take Amprenavir with or without most foods. However, very fatty meals can decrease the absorption of Amprenavir into the body and it is recommended that you avoid taking Amprenavir with a high-fat meal. Although an interaction is possible, it is also usually okay to drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruits while taking Amprenavir. In theory, side effects from Amprenavir such as diarrhea, headache, or rash might get worse if you drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruits, but significant interactions have not been reported. Do not greatly alter your normal grapefruit and grapefruit juice intake while taking Amprenavir.
