Avoid alcohol-containing drinks while taking medicines that cause drowsiness like prescription pain medicines, medications to reduce anxiety, medicines to induce sleep or sedation, and medicines used for colds or allergies. Using some of these drugs along with alcohol can lead to serious side effects. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Do not drive or operate machinery if you are drinking alcohol-containing beverages. If you notice slurred speech, confusion, severe weakness, or difficulty breathing, contact your health care provider immediately.

Take Risedronate with water only, on an empty stomach. Taking this drug with food may change how well the drug works for you. It is recommended to take risedronate at least 30 minutes before any other beverage, food or other medication for the day. Avoid laying down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medicine. To avoid irritation to the esophagus (tube connecting mouth to the stomach), this medicine must be taken as directed.

When Alcohol is taken by patients receiving Metronidazole, an extremely unpleasant reaction can occur. This reaction includes flushing, throbbing headache, nausea, vomiting, sweating, thirst, and other effects that may last from 30 minutes to several hours. You should not drink alcoholic beverages or use medicines that contain a large amount of alcohol while taking Metronidazole. Also continue to avoid Alcohol for about 2-3 days after stopping Metronidazole. Interactions with Metronidazole vaginal or topical skin products are not likely.

Most forms of metronidazole may be taken without regard to meals or food. However, extended-release metronidazole tablets, like Flagyl ER, should be taken on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Do not use alcoholic beverages (or take alcohol-containing medicines) while taking or within 2-3 days after stopping Metronidazole to limit the possibility of side effects. When Alcohol is taken by patients receiving Metronidazole, an extremely unpleasant reaction can occur. Limit caffeine intake (examples: coffee, teas, colas, chocolate and some herbal supplements) while taking Phendimetrazine. Also avoid medicines containing additional Caffeine whenever possible. Side effects from Phendimetrazine may get worse if you take excessive Caffeine. Taking a high amount of Caffeine can increase the risk of nausea, nervousness, palpitations, problems with sleep, rapid heartbeat, tremor, or other side effects.
