Side effects might include anxiety, chest pain, numbness in the fingers or toes, tingling, or vision changes.

Taking grapefruit juice with Ergot Alkaloids might increase the risk of nausea, nervousness, chest pain, high blood pressure, palpitations, or other serious side effects, like pain, numbness or reduced circulation to the hands, feet or legs. Ergot Alkaloids include, but are not limited to, Cafergot, Ergotrate, Ergostat, Hydergine, Methergine, Migranal, Sansert or Wigraine. It is best to avoid grapefruit juice while taking Ergot Alkaloids to reduce the chance of Ergot Alkaloid-related side effects.

Mifepristone (also known as RU-486 or Mifeprex) does not interact with most foods. Grapefruit juice and grapefruit-containing foods may increase the effects of Mifepristone, RU-486, which may worsen side effects like abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, or uterine cramps. Do not significantly alter your grapefruit juice intake while taking this drug.
